The Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court is responsible for maintaining a record of all traffic, civil, and criminal cases filed and heard in Jersey County. On a daily basis, the office interacts with the public and attorneys performing several functions including the collection and disbursement of traffic fines, civil fees, and child support. The office is also responsible for recording filed documents and maintaining a record of all court proceedings.

The Circuit Clerk of Jersey County

The Office of the Circuit Clerk is a state constitutional officer elected by the citizens of Jersey County for a four year term. The Circuit Clerk is a non-judicial office of the Judicial Branch of Illinois State government.

The Clerk of the Circuit Court files all cases and maintains official records of all cases that come before the Jersey County court system. The Circuit Clerk's Office also receives and holds in trust monies to be disbursed on order of the court.

It is the mission of the Circuit Clerk's Office to serve the citizens of Jersey County and the participants of the judiciary system in a timely and cost-effective manner, providing all court records, information and services with courtesy, efficiency, and impartiality.  My staff and I look forward to serving you.
