Office of the Circuit Clerk - Charles E. Huebener

Jersey County, Illinois

Attention Jurors: Jury duty scheduled for April 7, 2020 is hereby cancelled.

To The General Public:

At the present time The Jersey County Circuit Clerk's Office will remain open with regular business hours. Although the present risk level in our area remains low, health care professionals advise that we should all minimize contact to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.  Therefore, we ask that anyone who is not a litigant/defendant in a pending case please refrain from attending court while it is in session. We have taken precautionary measures and have continued some of the cases to lower the amount of defendants in the courtroom at one time. If you need to make a payment please use the drop box on the front of the building or you may also pay online at This is a 24 hours, 7 days a week service. You will need a major credit card or debit card and a fee will be applied at the time of service. You may also call 1-888-604-7888 to make a payment. To use either of the above services you will need to have your case number, the paycode which is 8290 and the exact amount you are going to pay. Again, at this time our office will remain open and we recommend one of the above. If you feel you are too sick to attend court please call our office to arrange for a new court date.

If you have been sent to collections you will not be able to use the above process. You will need to call the agency directly at 1-800-331-9772.

Should you have any questions, please contact our office at 618-498-5571 Ext. 124.

Thank you for your patients and understanding. If health concerns worsen, this information may change.
